BMW 335d 2007

Hi Darrell,

As promised update on the current car. The change in the actual driving of the car is very positive – more response, more torque low down and general drive characteristics with a smoother approach to power.

It is now a very rapid car indeed and has surprised many an M3 driver (incidentally, what I had before) and other rapid motors. Put it in the sport mode and use the paddles and it flies along and still does more than 35 to the gallon!!!!! In fact between, 34 - 39 is the norm and I have actually seen 41 in cruise mode. The average is around the 36 – 37 mpg which for 349 bhp and nearly 600 nm is superb. Press the pedal and the take up is instant, either using paddles or auto mode, I do not think one could change gears any quicker this makes the car very rapid and user friendly.

Well done, keep up the good work.

All best wishes,
Robert

Mercedes S65 AMG 2008

Hi Darrell,

I am suitably impressed with the results you have somehow managed to achieve with our Mercedes S65 V12 AMG Bi-Turbo. Although the work was only carried out 48 hours ago I can see the differences already, the power delivery is much smoother and linear, increase in BHP and Torque has taken the car to 180 mph already and at only 75 percent of the rev range!! And when you take in the 8 - 10 percent increase in mpg, I estimate that we will recover the cost of the remap easily within 6 months - now that is value for money!

Needless to say, I will not hesitate for one moment to recommend your company to others in respect of your workmanship, knowledge and great value.

In addition I would just like to add that we will in the future be sending other vehicles to you for the same treatment! Keep up the good work.

Kindest regards
Steve Ruby

Porsche Cayman 2.7 2007

Hello Darrell,

As you know, I've found my 2.7 Cayman to have everything I wanted from my car.

Well, almost everything.

There was a distinct drop in torque between 3-4000 rpm, requiring a lower than expected gear for safe overtakes. Moreover, dropping a couple of gears needed a hefty prod of the throttle to match engine to road speed. I think this is what prompted EVO Magazine to refer to the car as being "slow, for a car capable of 160 mph".

Thanks to your Remap, throttle response has sharpened significantly & any sign of lethargy through the rev range has been banished. The engine now responds with the same alacrity as the chassis.

At last my Cayman really is everything I want from my car.

Thanks Darrell for a job well done.

R. J.

P.S: Because the 2.7 is a couple of carbons under the new tax band G, I'll enjoy my driving even more, knowing I'll be depriving Grabber Gordon of a couple of hundred quid every year.............

Volvo XC90 185bhp

After re-mapping the vehicles acceleration was much improved, in particular in the mid-range when overtaking. The vehicle is used to tow from time to time, when doing so has a near maximum towing load, which since remapping is a joy to drive.

Regarding fuel consumption-

a Around Town-26-31 mpg
b Short out of town trips-29-34 mpg
c Long runs-35-43 mpg (at max plus speeds)
d Towing longish distances 27-29 mpg
e Towing short distances (inc. built up areas) 22-29mpg

The vehicle has now covered 16000 miles without problems and I have no hesitations recommending Torquing BHP’s service or staff.

Mercedes ML270CDI

Hi Darrell,

Just a short note to tell you how pleased I am with the work you carried out on my Mercedes ML270 CDI.

I bought the car brand new 5 years ago and had got very used to its characteristics. I always rated it but frequently wished it had just a little more power.

Wow! What a difference you've made to it. It accelerates so much better, a smooth effortless acceleration and a substantially faster top end, where permitted! Now, pulling out to overtake is so much easier as I don't need to allow 1/2 mile to do it!!
And, to top it all off I now have a 12% improvement in fuel consumption.

I was seriously thinking of changing it this year, but now I’ll keep it for another couple of years as it feels like a new car.
I would definitely recommend you to anybody wanting to carry out the same work on their car as I did.

Once again, thank you.

Best wishes
Simon

Volvo V70 D5 185bhp

I had my Volvo v70 d5 remapped about 3 months ago and the power output from the engine has improved the performance and the MPG consumption has risen from 36 mpg to 44 mpg.

Thanks for brilliant job

BMW E39 535i

Hi Darrell

I did not expect to see such a difference after having the re map done. It has transformed my 535i sport it's a pleasure to drive now the V8 engine is a nice bit of kit but a remap makes it even better.

The throttle response is better and the kick down responds instantly and when I put some super unleaded in it got even better smoother tick over.

I have also noticed a difference in the fuel economy I’m not that good at working out percentages but on an urban run I'm averaging an extra 3 mpg and on a long run 5 mpg which is great.

I will have to change the way I drive as the car now gets there quicker.

Thank you also for helping me sort out the few problems I was having with the car before you did the re map its great to find someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to doing diagnostics   something I think is lacking at main dealers.

I will certainly recommend your services to friends.

Regards,
Kenny

Vectra C 1.9CDTI

Hi Darrell,

Thanks for a great job with the upgrade. After testing my 1.9 CDTi Vectra since the remap, I can now say it pulls much quicker with smoother acceleration.  There now seems much more power in reserve if I need it , and my normal work run now returns 49.6mpg (up from 43.7). Overall, I am very happy with the results and the professional service you provided and at such a great price too!

Many Thanks
Leigh

Honda Civic 2.2 CDTi

Hello Darrell,

I have now done well over 250 miles in my Civic since visiting you on the 18th and consider the Remap money well spent. The car is so much more responsive in the middle range, the torque is improved throughout and I am still getting used to the improved acceleration. Equally impressive is the fuel consumption, better by 10%! Great news!

Cheers,
Mr. Whitehead

Fiat Ducato Motorhome

Hi Darrell

Just a short message to say how pleased I am with the remapping of my Fiat Ducato based motorhome. As you will remember we were going on a 300 mile trip after your treatment to our vehicle.  You said it would get better after about 150 miles but I noticed the difference straight away. On motorways especially it felt like we had a tail wind as the vehicle responded to smaller throttle openings and I am able to engage fifth gear much sooner and retain it for longer periods. I have not carried out a fuel economy check yet but anticipate an improvement as long as I can refrain from using the extra power.  The engine is also much quieter and smoother.

Thanks again

Darrell

Many thanks for the work undertaken on the VWR32 for us I could not believe the difference this has made to the vehicle. I was struggling driving the car with the paddle shift before but now with the work you have done this drives so much better

BMW R1200 Motorbike

Hello Darrell,

I've done about 600 miles in the week since you remapped my BMW R1200RT.

Previously the engine pulled strongly over the first 4000 rpm, becoming coarse & not worth going beyond 5000, I preferred to use the plentiful torque to make progress.

Now, the low end torque is delivered more smoothly, & above 4000 rpm the engine produces a snarling rasp of power right up to the rev limiter. It's the first time I've felt the urge to wring out a BMW Boxer engine.

Ridden with a bit of restraint I reckon a full tank would give me another 20-25 miles range. The improved engine refinement means the extra miles wouldn't be a hardship.

When ridden for thrills, the bike feels as though its rider has shed a couple of stones.

Hey! You could market the remap as a slimming aid............

Thanks Darrell for casting your magic spells over my Bike.

Cheers, R W.

Hi Darrell.

The first thing I noticed after having the remap was how much smoother the engine seemed, the car was nicer to drive from the off. Peak torque has noticeably increased, but not so much so that I worry about the life of the clutch. On the standard map the car seemed to run out of steam soon after 3000 rpm, after the remap it pulls strong all the way up to 4000rpm. For overtaking this makes a huge difference. The other noticeable difference is that the power delivery is more progressive. Prior to the remap, when coming on boost it seemed to lag for a time, then suddenly deliver. After the remap, the torque builds more progressively, and from a few hundred rpm lower in the rev range. The car is just more responsive all round, on full throttle, part throttle and even when driving at low revs.

Performance wise it's much better than before. The best way to describe the improvement in acceleration is that each gear now accelerates like a lower gear did before the remap.

I have done my own 0-60 tests on the car, before the remap and after (I wanted some kind of figures for my own peace of mind). The standard car would hit 60 from a standing start somewhere in the mid to high 8s, with the remap it hits 60 in the low 7s.

I was pleasantly surprised to see an improvement in fuel economy of about 5 or 6 mpg. I was told to expect an improvement, but this much was a bonus. A long motorway run doing 85ish will now return over 50mpgs. Prior to the remap I made several journeys down to London and didn't see 45mpgs at those speeds and that was without any traffic jams.

Overall, I think the remap was money well spent, it has transformed the car and I will definitely be going back to Torquing BHP when I replace it with something else that can be remapped. I really can't fault the service Torquing BHP provided. Darrell is friendly, reliable, accommodating and knows his stuff without being arrogant or patronising. Having had unpleasant experiences with various tuning companies in the past, the experience at Torquing BHP was like a breathe of fresh air.

Best regards and thanks
Damian

Firstly can I say "Thank you". Your customer relations are second to none, your knowledge, manner and the time you give to answer questions far exceeds any service I have experienced any where else. It was a pleasure dealing with you. My Audi A6 2.5 tdi V6 Quattro has been transformed. It was a bit "sluggish" at 150bhp, but since the work was done it now feels like a different car. The increases I have had were not imaginable before hand, much smoother, faster and bags more torque. Thanks again Darrell, I will definitely recommend you.

Hi Darrell,

Following the remap that you undertook on my 2007 Honda Civic diesel, I am very impressed with the results, especially the torque, throttle response and linear power delivery. This is a considerable improvement over the standard car and the improved fuel economy by 10% is also a bonus. It is quite amusing watching drivers of similar class diesel cars with bemused looks on their faces as they fail every time to keep up (to 70mph obviously)! I would like to thank you for your time to do this work, and I will certainly be back with my next car.

Dear Darrell,

As promised my testimonial after the remapping of my A4 3.0 TDI Avant. Last Friday I drove to Inverness and back, via the M77, M80, M9 and the A9. The car was simply amazing, 410 miles, at an average of 64mph and 40.7 mpg. Overtaking was incredible, 50 to 80 plus in about 3 seconds. Just what’s needed if you need to overtake large HGVs. The acceleration is quite incredible. In summary, easily the fastest accelerating car I've ever owned. I haven't had the nerve to try it flat out, nor have I found the right road, so I don't know what its top speed is. However, I feel rapid acceleration is more important than flat out MPH, and gives me the confidence to overtake in the knowledge I can do it very quickly and hence more safely. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to friends and colleagues.

Thanks, Darrell.
Kind regards,
Paul Stevens

Dear all at Torquing BHP

Just sending a quick email to thank you for an amazing product, I loaded the modified map in to my 130HP VW Transporter and instantly couldn't believe the power difference. It drives much smoother from very low rev's right through to peak rev's and the torque is amazing you can short shift at lower rpm which definitely helps on fuel economy even when we take the race bikes and caravan to Ireland you don't need to worry what gear your in as it just pulls so strong and makes the long journey much easier. In all my years in the motor-sport trade I’ve never spent so little and got such a big return in power increase.

Kind regards Lars.

Hi Darrell,

Brilliant!
The difference the re-map makes to my X5sd is nothing short of sensational. This has been the most noticeable enhancement to performance I have ever had over all my previous cars which have been upgraded, Escort Turbo, Cosworth,944 Turbo, TT225, 996 Turbo, Range Rover Vogue.

Thank you and good luck in the continuing success of your business.

Best regards,
Andrew Lock

P.S being PC the car runs at 2 miles per gallon more.

Dear Torquing BHP,

Gents, having taken so long to decide to spend money on an "invisible" upgrade to my BMW 330d M sport Tourer, I have to confirm that  the enhanced enjoyment is way beyond my expectation. Not only does the car drive so well with the increased flexibility through the gears , but I have recorded a 5% increase in mpg. On those occasions when I need speed the conversion is quite superb -the latest victim being a Porsche cayenne Turbo, its strange how the Cayenne could not drive away from the BMW ! Fantastic.
